Celebrating lifes journey
Hello, my name is Claire and I have the privilege of being a celebrant working in North and West Yorkshire.
My background over the past 37 years has been working within education. Although challenging and demanding at times, the experience gave me chance to communicate with people from all walks of life, enriching and deepening my understanding of families.
It was after a personal bereavement and being so impressed with how important a celebrant’s role is in creating a bespoke ceremony, I decided to re-train and become a qualified celebrant with the International College of Professional Celebrants.
This new role affords me the opportunity to work with families, listening to their personal stories, then crafting a beautiful bespoke tribute filled with respect, meaning and love.
I believe that everyone deserves a thoughtful, dignified and fitting tribute to the life they have lived.
My role is to work alongside families every step of the way, ensuring loved one’s wishes are carried out, discussing and planning the ceremony and finally delivering the service on the day.
I offer completely non- religious ceremonies but also happy to include hymns or religious readings. I like to encourage family participation with personal tributes, readings, songs or poems but only if you feel comfortable to do so.
I believe it’s your loved one, your choice, your voice, your ceremony.
